Many researchers and lay people believe that probiotics, good microorganisms that are found in the body, can be beneficial to people who suffer from IBS, urinary tract infections, and other diseases. Many people take probiotics for digestive problems. The good microorganisms are available in common products such as yogurt and milk, but they are also sold in pill form. Since there are not many federal regulations, some products that advertise themselves as probiotics many not live up to that claim.
