Beating the Bloating Blues?
A recent article in the British publication The Journal Live, suggests that patients who are diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome may be able to simply alleviate symptoms by treating abdominal bloating through nutritional therapy. Some of the suggested remedies include drinking hot water with lemon juice and eating probiotic yogurt and pineapple. The article suggests that these methods can address the cause of the intestinal issues. However, most of the recommendations cited have not been examined scientifically; therefore people with IBS should consider this approach to IBS treatment with caution. The Journal, August 9, 2008
