Summer foods can trigger your IBS in many ways. As you do the picnic circuit, keep your trigger foods in mind. Remember that beverages can be triggers, too, and stay away from fried and fatty foods. Lettuce and potato salads are generally safe, but beware of beans and broccoli, which can produce gas. Hold the spicy condiments and minimize your ice cream intake.
