Dr. Drossman is a co-director of the University of North Carolina Center for Functional GI and Motility Disorders. His research relates to the clinical, epidemiological, psychosocial and treatment aspects of gastrointestinal disorders.

Susan L. Mikolaitis RD, LDN, CSND

Susan L. Mikolaitis is a registered dietitian with more than 20 years of experience in outpatient medical nutrition therapy for gastrointestinal diseases. She also has a specialty certification in adult weight management from the American Dietetic Association.

Ms. Mikolaitis sees patients with nutritional concerns related to celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, constipation, diarrhea, food allergies and intolerance, GI dysmotility and irritable bowel syndrome. Additionally, she counsels patients in both medical weight loss and surgical weight loss. Ms. Mikolaitis also has 10 years of experience helping patients who require tube feedings or total parenteral nutrition and holds a specialty certification in this area. For the past 18 years, she has been working with the elite team of gastroenterologists at Rush University Medical Center

Angela M. Johnson, Dipl OM, LAc, MSTOM, MPH

As a nationally board certified practitioner of Oriental medicine, Angela provides acupuncture and other Oriental medicine related techniques to help patients achieve optimal health and well-being. Angela has been in the field of integrative medicine for 5 years.
